The Rameswaram is also spelled as “Rameswaram and Rameshwaram”. Rameswaram is a city and a second municipality, in the Ramanathapuram district in Tamil Nadu. The Rameswaram is located on Pamban Island divided from India by the Pamban channel and it is above 50 km from Manner Island in Sri Lanka. Pamban Island is also called Rameswaram Island, it is connected to India by the Pamban Bridge. It is the terminal of the railway line from Madurai and Chennai. and also connected with Varanasi, which is one of the holiest spots in Tamil Nadu to Hindu, India. The main occupation is Fishing and Tourism apart from a spiritual journey to Rameshwaram. The Rameswaram is the nearest place to reach Sri Lanka.

1. Pamban Bridge
The Pamban Bridge is a beam bridge in Palk Strait. It connects Rameswaram to Pamban Island. The Pamban Bridge is referred to road bridge and beam railway bridge. The bridge is the first sea bridge in India and the bridge is India’s second longest sea bridge. The bridge was constructed by the Indians and hundred years ago but the bridge is still in good condition. The bridge was constructed in “Marvel of Engineering”. 2. Adam’s Bridge
The Adam’s Bridge is also called as Rama’s Bridge or Rama Setu. The bridge is a chain of the “limestone shoals”, it is also called Rameswaram Island at Tamil Nadu, India, and Manner Island. The Uthirakosamangai is dedicated to the god Shiva. It is located in Ramanathapuram district, Tamil Nadu. The Temple was built by the Pandya kings. The Achutappa Nayak is a Hindu ruler in Thanjavur and Muthuveerappan. The other kings of the Ramanathapuram “Sethupathi Dynasty” at different times.
